The institute owes its origin to the munificence of Late Prof. V.M.D Patwardhan, a versatile literary authority and renowned educationist of Nashik. The two-year Diploma course in Pharmacy is a step towards the larger objective of imparting job-oriented education, the urgent need of the day. D.Pharm course of our management was started in 1972 under the guidance of Late Shri Vyankatraoji Hiray. Our college is the first one in Nashik District to introduce Diploma Course in Pharmacy. The Late Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hiray, our personal source of inspiration, founded the Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir at Malegaon Camp, then a small rural town in Nashik District on 2nd October 1952. He strongly believed that good education alone can bring about intellectual awakening in the people. Crystallization of his idealistic vision and the ceaseless endeavors of his worthy successor, late Shri Vyankatraoji Hiray, made MGV a great temple of learning with a string of educational institutes. Like other mighty institutes, ours too had a humble beginning but the zeal, enthusiasm, dedication, sacrifice and spirit of service of the founder helped us progress by leaps and bounds.
Pharmacy Knowledge: - Diploma pharmacy holders will be competent and successful Pharmacists in all operational sectors, with basic knowledge of pharmaceutical science.
Social Bearing: - The Diploma pharmacy holders will exhibit professional ethics, responsibilities and render health care service to the society.
