Department of English

INTRODUCTION:

The Department of English has been established in June 1993 with the inception of the college. The Department has well qualified, experienced and research-oriented staff. The teachers from the department are very keen about developing the overall personality of the tribal students. The main focus of the department is on increasing the communicative competence of the students. ICT based teaching learning facilities such as Linguaphones, Computers, Internet are available in the department and are utilized for the students. Apart from regular teaching learning activities, various extracurricular activities are conducted for the students. Extra coaching classes are conducted for the academically weak students. The department is planning to start short term certificate courses in spoken and written English for tribal students.

- Published a book “Research Process & Terminology in Language and Literature: A Handbook for Research Students”.
